Taiwan Trip Picture Update!

Taiwan was soo much fun! I was only there for a little over four days but in that time, I had so much fun! I got to see traditional Buddhist Temples, Buddhist ceremonies, go to their version of 3rd Street, eat food from the Street Vendors, shop at Night Markets, shop at veryyyyy cheap clothing places, and the best thing was seeing my family! I'm going to try to go abroad my Senior summer but in order to do that, I'll have to take 3 quarters of Chinese which isn't too bad. Wish me luck! :D Here are some pixxxxxx!~

Soooooo, our date for now is Wednesday, December the 21 or Friday, December the 23.

I'm thinking about a dinner or something not so.. high school-ish. We can keep it to the main kids but I really wanna do something where we can just sit around and talk like we did back during the summer. Maybe dressing up cuz we're awsome like that. Who's house can we use? I'll bake you cookies if you let us use your house.. haha.

CHS Kids. When are you free during winter break? UCI gets off on Dec. 9th. Berkeley gets off a few weeks after us. Let's ALL get together. Emphasis on ALL. I was thinking of a nice dinner. Let's make it for once, rather than going to a resturant as always. Tell me what you think and tell me what date is good for ya. Oh, and i'll be going back to Taiwan between the 14th and the 19th. Anyone want me to bring them back a souvenir?

OH.. and I apologize to EVERYONE. I've been quite busy and haven't been the best at keeping in touch with the ones whom I care about. Trust me when I say I still HEARRRRRRRRT you ALL lots and miss you a lot. I'm going to force myself to awkwardly IM everyone more often and ask how they're doing. Expect an IM from me.. soon. It's so WERID how everyone is connected. What's it called.. Six degrees of separation? Yeah.. I think. But yeah. Everyone and their mom's are somehow connected to one another. At-least here at UCI that holds true. You're bound to find someone who knows someone that you know. Yay, which makes it all the easier to meet more awesome and cool peoples!!

A few minutes ago, my laptop was spazzing out, the sound wasn't working, and I myself freaked out. So, I went downstairs to talk to some dorm-mates and cool off. I come back to my room and my sound works once again. Music makes me happy.. *breaths* Getting back to work now. :)

I think i've been having WAYYY TOO MUCH FUN. Like, it's not party everyday and every night but I don't think I should be going out so much. Damn college and the freedom we get!! Last Thursday night, a bunch of us were going to go to some party but we ended up not being able to. Instead, I went clubbing with some of the CK girls at Boggie. My GOD it was horrible!! Nasty, stanky, gross guys all sweaty and rubbing up on the girls. Friday I went to the Soup Kitchen with CK to help out, then ate Ramen at some cute Japanese rest. where our waiter was the cuteeeeeeeeeest thing. Then just chilled in Brisa watching Margaret Cho with a bunch of kids. Stopped by the Bren Center [which is like a minute away] and met up with Juju and Alyssa. Yummy In N Out. Saturday I went Dragonboating with Yang, David, Alice, Melody, and Stacey. So much funnnnn!! My arms were hella sore afterwards. Sunday I did my work, cleaned, and laundry during the day and at night I went to some party at some guys house for some chick's birthday. It was fun. Afterwards, I stopped by Nikki's room in ME and hung out with her and Henry. Monday was Boys and Girls club then the CADC tryouts. Tuesday night I went to CK mtg, then bonfire, then Islands with some kids. Last night, I studied until around midnight until some people kidnapped me. We got some boba, then went to Manki's house. Tonight is CK Scrapbook mtg, CA Mtg, then CA Family Dinner. Tomorrow i'll go to Soup Kitchen again. Saturday is ALS Walk then Manki's at night. Sunday I might just chill and do hw. Aids Walk? Maybe..

O_O uhh.. too much playing and not enough studying? Kinda..? Well, I'm still keeping up with all my classes so it's not like SUPER BAD. I wish I had pictures from all these things. A picture post later. I just wanted to type down the things I remember from this past week. ^____^

I went home for the weekend and it was incredibly boring. I sat down and watched 6 hours straight of America's Next Top Model. O_O WTF is that?! OMGG... I'm just glad I got the stuff that I forgot back at home and now I won't ever need to go back "home" ever again. I have a new home. Home at UCI.

Things have been going so fast lately. Classes wizz by and before we all know it, it's Monday morning again. New friendships have been made and they're awesome. Plus, dorm life is awesome in general. Being able to have someone always there to talk to you and never being lonely. BEing able to walk into someones room who you don't quite know, and get to know them. They even offer food! AHH~!

Haha.. I just typed an entry and accidently x-ed the box. I apologize for this shorter/not as great entry. First day of class turned out to be NOT the first day of class [for me]. My lab was canceled and I don't start until next monday. Things are stil awesome as ever and good times!

So I've got to say.. college is AWESOME!! Lots of freedom, doing whatever I want when I want to, no parental units, and most of all.. GREAT PEOPLE! Brisa is one hecka cool hall with hecka cool peeps. Though no drunken parties [yet], the "meeting-new-people" dealio aspect is good times all around.

Yesterday, CHS Homies [Charn, Jung, and Selma] came to visit us at UCI and we had lunch wtih them. Chilled for the rest of the day, Circle K Orientation meeting, dinner at Brandywines [which was okay.. not amazing like some people claim], chilled in peoples rooms, quick volleyball game with random people, SPOP Reunion [BRISAA BUNS OF STEEL - YOU KNOW THESE THINGS ARE REAL!], Middle Earth Dance, chilling at Cha's, hung out with Adam, and stayed up until frickin' 6AM chilling with Brisa kids downstairs in the common room. Wow, I can't believe I remember all that. It seems like everything happens at night. During the day, people are just chilling around campus doing whatevers.

Class starts Friday and it should be okay... kinda scared because apparently we need to have already read a book by the first day we're in our Humanities Core class.. eek. Gotta start that.

8 Days and Counting

People have been buggin me to update my lj, so here it is.. and update. Summer is coming to a close, and it seems like i've all but too much/not enough this summer. All in all, it was a great summer. Now everyone is either packing up their stuff and moving onto college or have already started college. Damn UCI, the quarter system, and starting late. I must say, I'm quite excited though nervous at the same time. The whole having to climb the social ladder, meet brand new people, find a group to associate with thing is rather intimidating. I've already met bunches of people through Facebook and its awesome, but I wonder just how many of those people I'll actually talk to in person once we're at school. *knocks on wood*

Hm... this past Tuesday was my last day of working at Starbucks. It'll forever be my first "real" job.. my first "somewhat-not-real" job being working at the Dry Cleaners for my parents. When I first got hired, I was soo excited. Just check my past LJ entires around March when I first got hired. There were times I just wanted to quit. The training system/methods at my Starbucks is horrible, and I was yelled at for not knowning stuff that they never taught me in the first place. The person that I truly enjoyed working with transfered to another Starbucks which just made me want to quit even more. I remember telling Connie who worked next door at Western Bagel how much I loathed going to work, and how un-fun it turned out to be. I ended up staying because I wanted to ride it out, and overcome this dumb obstacle. I didn't wanna be a quitter. This was supposed to be a fun job but it wasn't because of my co-workers. Don't get me wrong, they're really nice people.. I just didn't get along with them the way they got along with each other. I realized I'm more of a suit-and-tie, serious, meetings kinda worker? I think.. I duno. blah. I'll figure it out later on.. So yes.. thank you Starbucks Chatsworth Plaza for allowing me to work. It was a great experience.

I still have to buy stuff for my dorm, and start packing my life away. Haha.. I'll only be like 2 hours away, but it seems like i'm leaving forever. NooO.. I'll be home atleast once a month. I don't wanna end up being the only guy in the dorms during the weekend.. omg that'd be freaky. My housing assignment ended up being Brisa 202A. Yay, the same hall I was in for SPOP [Orientation]. I was meant to be a Buns of Steel.. hehe.

I hate my hair. I wanna do something cool to it. The whole asian boy spiky hair is soo over [for me atleast]. I'm thinking of a wild color.. a cool cut, and something non-Andy. Any suggestions? ^___^

I'm in love with the show Will & Grace. I've recently purchased seasons 1, 2, and 3.. and O.. M...G.. *orgasm* I'm lovin' it!

I frickin' thought I had to work today @ 7AM so I got up all early to shower and change. And just now before I was about to leave, I check my work schedule that I always type on a Desktop Post-It and it said "August 14- 7AM" and I think to myself .. "today.. isnt.. the 14th..." I proceed to call my work and it turns out that I don't work today. MMMMM. Yah, no biggie you're thinking. You don't work today and you thought you did. "STFU ANDY." *sigh* I'm sad. I'm gonna cry. [emo moment]

It seems like "countdown" month. Everyone is counting down to something. Going to school. Moving into their dorms. Flying away. Something. It's getting really depressing because it seems like yesterday summer started. Why do some schools have to be a bitch and start late August? Damn Berkeley and U-Texas.. taking away our friends this early :[ At Jung's party, I vaguely remember crying with bestfriend while talking about this.. oy.

Why does everyone want to "change themselves" before going off to college? Why do they feel the need to reinvent themselves, start anew, and be someone different? What is it behind their drive to suddenly want to change their names, clothes, personality, ways of thinking, etc? For a while, I wanted to do that as well. I wanted to make others perceive me in a different way.. in a more "mature" way but as I stood in the fitting room of stores I've barely been into in the past with jeans that were too tight, shirts with weird symbols, and hats that ruined my spiky hair, I realized that I can't change myself.. not that much at least. I'm Andy. I'm that happy asian guy who's too gay sometimes/always. I'm just.. me and I guess if I want others to see me as "more mature", it'll have to come with time and when I actually become.. more mature. Don't get me wrong.. change is good. Do whatever the heck you want to make yourself happy.. just be true to yourself? Yeah.. food for thought.

I need to be motivated. I've got very little drive left. What motviates you? What makes you wanna be better?

Still SO MANY THINGS I want to do before leaving for school. It saddens me when people don't call to hang out when all they said in my yearbook was "OMFG WE HAVE TO HANG OUT LIKE EVERY FUCKIN'DAY DURING SUMMER CUZ WE'RE LIKE BESTFRIENDS." O_O Yah.. don't be like that. Lets hang out :]

Things I've learned in the past few days/week or whatnot:
- Sandra Bullock plays a mean man-in-drag in Ms.Congeality 2
- Don't toss your head backwards at a club while dancing because you might accidently hit someone's face with the back of your head O_O
- Plans don't usually work out so you gotta ridiculously overplan in order for it to even slightyly work out.
- Don't wait to turn in important school papers .. the day its due?
- A ~~minute~~ second can make a difference
- Not having a cell phone makes me feel naked
- Having beginners luck while playing Texas Hold-'Em is good
- Don't bowl with long nails
- Drinking and driving does not mix [but you can still have a little ;) ]
- Open mic. night means bad singing. Run away
- Walking around a big empty home makes one feel lonely
- Seeing other couples makes one feel lonely
- You gotta make your own fun
- Helping others at work makes you feel good about yourself .. because you were in that position before as well
- Utilize your surrounding resources
- DON'T LIE TO A POLICE OFFICER
- Learn how to give a proper handshake so you're not handshake-fucking the other person
- It's fun to tackle people
- Not going to the gym for a week / two weeks consecutively makes one look/feel/actually become fat.
- You can't sit around waiting for people to make the first move
- Listening to emo music while driving is fun
- Taking chances are good [but sometimes its hard..]
